Today while waiting for my coffee at Rice Coffeehouse, I noticed that the endpapers of the 2024 Campanile yearbook contain artists' interpretations of the redesigned academic quad.

These are interesting for what they don’t include as much as what they do. There is also a spread in the middle of the volume capturing some student opinions about having to walk around the quad during reconstruction, which includes yet another visual depiction focused on the buildings around the quad more than the quad itself.

My coffee was ready before I could look more closely at how other pages might discuss the redesign. At first glance, however, there was much less about the historical contexts surrounding the redesign than there was in, say, the 2021 volume.
